5. Commissioning, operation
On removal from the packaging, and during mounting, particular
care must be taken to avoid damage and any mechanical defor-
mation to the diaphragm.
EN
Model PG43SA-S with vent hole: Check the zero point. In case
of a zero offset, carry out a zero point setting. See chapter 5.7
"External zero point setting".
Model PG43SA-S with vent valve: Open the vent valve for
pressure compensation and leave it open during the measure-
ment in order to ensure a correct pressure display. See chapter
2.3 "Model PG43SA-S with vent valve".
Model PG43SA-C with vent valve: For pressure compensation,
open the vent valve for a short time and then close it again directly.
The vent valve remains closed during operation. See chapter 2.4
"Model PG43SA-C with vent valve".
5.2 Installation
Do not damage the diaphragm; scratches on the diaphragm (e.g.
from sharp-edged objects) are the main causes of corrosion.
For sealing, choose appropriate seals.
For flange mounting, only use sealings with a sufficiently large
inner diameter and centre them; contact with the diaphragm leads
to measuring deviations.
When using soft or PTFE sealings, observe the instructions of the
sealing manufacturer, particularly with regard to tightening torque
and load cycles.
For installation, in accordance with the fitting and flange standards
the appropriate fastenings, such as screws and nuts, must be
used.
Model PG43SA-S with vent hole: The vent hole at the underside of
the case must not be closed.
Nominal position per EN 837-3 / 9.6.6 figure 7: 90° ( ⊥ ) (only
applies to model PG43SA-S)
