Review this table to find do-it-yourself solutions for minor performance problems. Any other
service needed should be performed by a Titan Vacuums or other qualified service agent.
WARNING
Always turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner before performing maintenance to the
vacuum cleaner. Failure to do so could result in electrical shock or personal injury.
PROBLEM
Vacuum cleaner
will not start.
The job of
dirt pick-up is
poor or suction
power is weak.

TROUBLESHOOTING

POSSIBLE CAUSE
The plug is not plugged to
the wall outlet.
Tripped circuit breaker /
blown fuse at household
service panel.
Loose hose electrical
connections.
Full or clogged dust bag.
Clogged airflow
passages.
Dirty filters.
Wrong pile height setting. Adjust the setting (page 17).
Electronic suction control
is in low power position.
Hole in hose.
Worn nozzle agitator.
Worn or broken belt.
Dirty agitator or end caps.
Be sure the power cord plug is fully plugged
into outlet. Move switch to HARDFLOOR or
CARPET position.
Reset circuit breaker or replace fuse.
Reconnect hose ends (page 10).
Change the dust bag (page 27-28).
Clear airflow passages (page 26).
Clean/replace filters (page 29-30).
Adjust the electronic suction control (page
15).
Replace the hose.
Change the agitator (page 42).
