sanding of wood, plastics, composites, paints
and varnishes, fillers (e.g. primed drywalling) and

apply for mixed dusts with metal content (e.g.

lacquer processing in the automotive sector). The
power tool is not suitable for direct metal sanding.
The sanding of hazardous materials (e.g. paints

with lead content and asbestos or materials with

The use of abrasives for this machine is restricted
to MENZER abrasives suitable for operation at
10,000 rpm. The use of cutting or grinding discs, as
well as abrasive flap wheels, wire brushes or saw
blades is prohibited. Never mount the backing pad
without the appropriate distance ring.
We recommend using our MENZER dust extraction
units for dust removal.
Caution! The owner/operator is liable for

4.2 Machine-specific safety information
• The power tool must only be connected to mains
sockets with a voltage and frequency that matches
the information provided on the type plate of the
machine.
• Make sure that all operating components are
functional before starting work.
• Never operate the power tool if there is any
visible damage on the cable, housing parts or
other power tool components.
• Maintain electric power tools and attachment
tools with care. Ensure that all moving parts
function correctly and do not grate or show breaks
or any other damage, which could negatively
impact the function of the electric power tool. Any
damaged parts must be repaired by a MENZER
Service workshop before use of the electric power
tool.
• Ensure that the machine cannot be accidentally
activated before connecting the tool to an electric
mains outlet to avoid accidents.
• Always hold the power tool with both hands to
ensure that you have the tool fully under control
and damage is avoided.
• Remove all tools (e.g. spanners, wrenches) from
the work area before switching on the power tool.
• Run the power tool for around 1 minute with the
backing pad facing away from your body to ensure
correct operation.
• Only hold the power tool on the insulated grip
areas to prevent any danger of electrocution,
should the power tool damage hidden electric
cables or its own power cable.
• Immediately disconnect the machine from
mains electricity when taking a break or finishing
work for the day.
