ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the tool is
switched o and the battery cartridge is removed
before carrying out any work on the tool.
Installing or removing the band saw
blade
CAUTION:
Oil on the band saw blade can
cause the blade to slip or come o unexpectedly.
Wipe o all excess oil with a cloth before install-
ing the band saw blade.
CAUTION:
Always wear protective gloves
when handling the band saw blade.
CAUTION:
Use caution when handling the
band saw blade to avoid cut by the sharp edge of
the blade teeth.
CAUTION:
Keep your body away from
the band saw blade when checking the blade
movement.
CAUTION:
W hen turning the blade tightening
lever clockwise to release the tension on the band
saw blade, point the tool downward because the
band saw blade may come o unexpectedly.
To install the band saw blade:
1.
Turn the blade tightening lever clockwise until it
s t o p s .

NOTICE:
When opening the wheel cover, open
and release both hooks simultaneously. Opening
only one hook may cause crack on the wheel
cover.

Match the direction of the arrows on the band saw
blade and the wheels.

Insert the non-serrated side of the band saw blade
i n t o t h e u p p e r h o l d e r a n d l o w e r h o l d e r . M a k e s u r e t h e
band saw blade in both upper and lower holder touches
to the bottom bearings.

With pressing the middle part of the band saw
blade, position the blade around one wheel. Moving the
wheel to A side makes it easier to do so.

Position the band saw blade on the other wheel
s i m i l a r l y .

Position the edge of the band saw blade on rubber
t i r e .

Hold the band saw blade in place and turn the
blade tightening lever counterclockwise until it stops.
This places proper tension on the band saw blade.
9.
C l o s e t h e w h e e l c o v e r .
NOTICE:
Make sure that the band saw blade is
correctly positioned around the wheels.
NOTICE:
Start and stop the tool two or three
times to make sure that the band saw blade runs
properly on the wheels.
To remove the band saw blade, follow the installation
p r o c e d u r e i n r e v e r s e .
Adjusting blade track
When the band saw blade tends to slip out from the
wheel, adjust the blade track.
To adjust, insert the hex wrench into the adjustment
h o l e a s i l l u s t r a t e d a n d m a k e a q u a r t e r t u r n c l o c k w i s e .
After that, check if the band saw blade does not slip out.
I f i t s t i l l s l i p s o u t , m a k e a n o t h e r q u a r t e r t u r n a n d c h e c k
until the band saw blade does not slip out.

Adjusting the stopper plate position
I n t h e o r d i n a r y o p e r a t i o n , p r o t r u d e t h e s t o p p e r p l a t e t o
the A side fully.
When the stopper plate hits against the obstacles such
as a wall or the like at the finishing of a cut, loosen two
bolts and slide it to the B side in the figure.
After sliding the stopper plate, secure it by tightening
two bolts firmly.
