5.4 Manual start in propane mode (LPG)
1 On the main control panel, check if the emergency stop button is not
pressed. Otherwise, the engine will not start.
2 Disconnect all equipment from generator or ensure that its switch is in the
OFF position. The starting of the generator has to be done without
equipment connected.
3 On the regulating valve installed in the cylinder, open the PROPANO gas
flow. Remember that the regulating valve must ensure an output of
pressure of 30mbar (millibars) and a flow of 2.5Kg (more information on
pages 11-12).
4 Turn the start button (DIAL) to the ON position, as shown in the figure
below.
IMPORTANT: As soon as you select the PROPANE mode, on the control panel, a
light indicator (red) will flash for 4 minutes (before turning off), according to the
figure above. The engine can only start during this period of four minutes.
If the 4 minutes have run out and the engine has not started, the indicator light
(red) turns off and the starting doesn't happen more. It will be necessary to move
again the DIAL to the OFF position and then select PROPANE again for another 4
minute period. This system is designed to prevent and avoid, as far as
possible, an unintentional battery discharge.
