Compact unit with Back Up siren
The mounting of the compact unit should be done in the engine
compartment, close to the battery with the switch showing downwards.
The mounting place should not be close to the influence area of strong
electric fields such as e.g. the ignition or engine control unit.
It should also be avoided to install the unit in the area of the exhaust
unit and water spray in order to ensure a perfect function of the shock
sensor. To prevent any sabotage from outside please make sure that the
compact unit is not accessible from the bottom part of the vehicle.
Status-LED
Drill an 8 mm hole in the dashboard for the LED and securely fit the
LED. Route the cable to the compact alarm unit and connect it to the
two pole connector in the main harness.
Bonnet switch
Install the bonnet contact switch in case there is no original contact
switch for the bonnet. Drill an 8 mm hole. Take care that the distance to
the closed bonnet is minimum 22 mm and maximum 27 mm (e.g.
measure by using masticate caoutchouc).
The minimum distance can be reduced by shortening the switch.
The bonnet switch must have contact to the ground. After installation
please check the switching function properly.
