CLEANING/DISINFECTION

Caution: Risk of electric shock and fire!
· Disconnect from mains before cleaning.
· Do not use flammable or explosive deter-
gents or disinfectants.
· Ensure that no fluids can infiltrate into the
product.
Caution: Mechanical cleaning or disinfec-
tion as well as inappropriate detergents or
disinfectants can damage or destroy the
product!
· Only disinfect the product manually
· Never sterilize the product
Use detergents/disinfectants approved for
surface cleaning only as specified by the
manufacturer. Observe specifications re-
garding concentration, temperature and
contact time.

· Remove any visible residue with a disposable
disinfectant wipe.
· Wipe all surfaces of the visually clean product
with a fresh disposable disinfectant wipe.
· Observe the specified contact time (1 minute
minimum).
Inspection
· Check product for damages after each clea-
ning/disinfection.
· Immediately set aside product if damaged.
Storage
· Store reprocessed products protected from
dust in a dry, dark and cool room with as little
bacterial contamination as possible.

CALIBRATION OF THE BARD SENSOR

The reader unit contains a barometric pressure
sensor (BARD sensor). An annual calibration is
required to ensure that predefined tolerance li-
mits are maintained.
Note: As part of the calibration, a compre-
hensive functional and safety test of the de-
vice is also performed. Omitting to perform
the annual calibration can result in a drift of
the BARD sensor outside of the tolerance
limits.
