Loosen the lock nuts (1).
3. Switch on the power supply.
The transmitter and corresponding receiver of a gas warning system must be set to the same communication channel. If
multiple gas warning systems are installed, the transmitters of which could interfere with adjacent receivers, a different
channel should be chosen for each gas warning system. Dräger recommends installing the systems in such a way that the
flash direction of one system is opposite to the flash direction of the other system.
The channels 0 - 11 are available on the receiver.
If the transmitter TX S is being used, channels 0 to 7 must be used. If the transmitter TX L is being used, channels 8 to 11
must be used.
4. Set the communication channel on the transmitter:
a. Connect the Pulsar Interface Adapter to the communication port and switch on the communication mode.

b. Connect the HART
c. Establish communication on the HART
d. In the main menu, select 3 / Device Info & Config.
e. In the 3 / Device Info & Config menu, select 1 Channel.
f. Enter the communication channel.
g. Transfer the configuration change to the transmitter.

h. Exit the HART
application.
5. Set the same communication channel on the receiver.
a. Connect the Pulsar Interface Adapter to the communication port and switch on the communication mode.

b. Connect the HART
c. Establish communication on the HART
d. In the main menu, select 4 / Meas. Config.
e. In the 4 / Meas. Config menu, select 1 Channel.
f. Enter the communication channel.
g. Transfer the configuration change to the receiver.
