A1.5 Filters operation
Bravo: The raw water entering the filter flows from the inside to the outside of the cartridge. The
high speed discharge system is manually activated opening the bottom valve. This simple operation
allows the removal of the impurities suspended in water and moreover an effective cleaning of the
filtering cartridge. This operation is easy and quick requiring the opening of the bottom valve for a
time sufficient to completely remove dirt from the bowl. Bravo can be easily disassembled to
facilitate cleaning and maintenance. Bravo's head is made in brass resistant to the systems typical
stresses able to lead to the breakage of plastic heads.
The bowl is made in high-tenacity polyamide (maximum pressure 12 bar). The cartridge is made in
stainless steel and it is clamped on a plastic bushing with o ring sealing. The particular structure of
the filtering cartridge makes it resistant to pressure shock eliminating problems of deformation and
crushing. Bravo is equipped with a plastic key to open the bowl and an hand brush to facilitate
cleanliness operations.
BravoDUE: The raw water entering the filter flows from the inside to the outside of the cartridge.
The high speed discharge system is manually activated opening the bottom valve This simple
operation allows, in addition to the discharge of impurities suspended in the water, an effective
cleaning of the filter cartridge for a time sufficient to carry out the complete removal of dirt from the
bowl. BravoDUE can be easily disassembled to facilitate cleaning and maintenance.
BravoDUE has small dimensions and is able to process high flow rates with low pressure drops.
BravoDUE is equipped with a non-return valve that prevents the backflow of the system water to the
distribution system. BravoDUE is made with a plastic head and a brass attachment plate resistant to
the stresses typical of the systems and rotatable by 360° (in 90° steps) which facilitates installation.
The bowl is made of high-strength polyamide (maximum pressure 10 bar). The cartridge is made of
stainless steel and fixed on a bushing with an o-ring seal. The particular structure of the cartridge
makes it resistant to pressure shocks, eliminating the problem of deformation and crushing.
BravoCALOR: cleaning filter particularly suitable for the filtration of hot water (up to 90°C) with a
body completely made in brass and filtering cartridge in stainless steel with 89 micron filtration rating
(models FT220, FT222, FT224, FT230, FT232, FT234) for civil use and 500 micron (models FT 200,
FT202, FT204, FT210, FT212, FT214) for technological use. BravoCALOR is equipped with a
convenient plastic valve for the discharge of the dirt from the bottom of the filter through the opening
of the ferrule. BravoCALOR is available with pressure gauge 0-25 bar main pressure reading
(models FT200, FT202, FT204, FT220, FT222, FT224). BravoCALOR is a small sized filter able to
process important flow rates with low headloss.
A1.6 Characteristics of the water to be treated
Filters have been designed and built for the treating of water intended for human consumption in
compliance with Directive 98/83/CE and subsequent amendments, but they can also be used for the
protection of cold water distribution networks, powering of heating and cooling systems, process
water networks.
Filters are not designed to filter water in closed circuit, water containing large quantities of sand or
coarse bodies larger than 2 mm, silt or chemicals (oils, solvents, acids, alkalynes, glycols). For the
filtration of the non-drinking water please contact Acqua Brevetti SRL (phone +39.049.8973432 or

Warning! Make sure that the plumbing system is hygienically safe and does not present any
risk of bacterial proliferation.
Warning! High chloride concentrations can adversely affect the aggressiveness of the water
and selective corrosion by dezincification of the filters. To remedy the effects of corrosion, it
is advisable that the waters do not have chloride concentrations (Cl
