2.2.4. Use the appliance handle/s, to catch it or move it.
2.2.5. Do not use the appliance if it is tipped up and do not
turn it over.
2.2.6. Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use or
connect to the mains.
2.2.7. Respect the MAX and MIN levels.
2.2.8. Disconnect the appliance from the mains when not

a consequence the appliance should not be used for the
cooking or heating of milk.
2.2.12. The use of the bottled mineral water adapted for
human consumption is recommended.
2.2.13. Never leave the appliance connected and unat-
tended if is not in use. This saves energy and prolongs the
life of the appliance.
2.2.14. Take care when handling recipients containing
liquids heated in this appliance as they may boil fiercely.
2.3. Service:
2.3.1. Make sure that the appliance is serviced only by
specialist personnel, and that only original spare parts or
accessories are used to replace existing parts/accessories.
2.3.2. Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for
use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer's liability
null and void.
3. Instructions for use
3.1. Before use:
3.1.1. Make sure that all the product packaging has been
removed.
3.1.2. Before using the product for the first time it is advis-
able to boil water within, so as to remove all remaining
dust and impurities.
3.1.3. Before using the product for the first time, clean the
parts that will come into contact with food in the manner
described in the cleaning section.
3.2. Filing with water:
3.2.1. Remove the kettle from its base before filling it.
3.2.2. Fill by lifting the lid, clicking on the button (2).
3.2.3. Fill the receptacle taking care to observe the MAX
and MIN level.
3.2.4. Put the kettle on its base.
3.2.5. Ensure that the lid is closed.
3.3. Use:
3.3.1. Take the length of the cable required out of the
housing.
3.3.2. Attach the appliance to it's base making sure that it
is correctly fitted into place.
3.3.3. Connect the appliance to the mains.
3.3.4. Turn the appliance on, by using the on/off switch.
3.3.5. The pilot light comes on.
3.3.6. Once the water has boiled the appliance will switch
off automatically.
3.3.7. The appliance can be switched on again using
the switch once the control device has cooled, if it is not
switched on again, do not force it, allow it to cool.
3.4. Once you have finished using the appliance:
3.4.1. Unplug the appliance from the mains.
3.4.2. Remove the water from the inside of the appliance.
3.4.3. Put the cable back in the cable housing.
3.4.4. Clean the appliance.
3.5. Cable compartment:
3.5.1. This appliance has a cable compartment situated
underneath the base.
3.6. Carry handle/s:
3.6.1. This appliance has a handle on the side of the body,
which facilitates comfortable transport.
4. Cleaning
4.1. Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it
to cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
4.2. Clean the electrical equipment and the mains con-
nection with a damp cloth and dry. DO NOT IMMERSE IN
WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
4.3. Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few
drops of washing-up liquid and the dry.
4.4. Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base
pH such a bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the
appliance.
4.5. Neither parts of this appliance are suitable for cleaning
in the dishwasher.
5. How to deal with lime scale incrustations:
5.1. For the appliance to work correctly it should be kept
free of lime scale or magnesium incrustations caused by
the use of hard water.
5.2. To prevent this kind of problem, we recommend the
use of water with low lime or magnesium mineralisation.
5.3. However, if it is not possible to use the kind of water
recommended above, you should periodically remove the
lime scale from the appliance:
5.4. Every 6 weeks if the water is "Very hard"
5.5. Every 12 weeks if the water is "hard"
5.6. A specific anti-lime scale product should be used on
this kind of product.
