CARTRIDGE
(If the existing cartridge is empty, read section G,
"Removing the cartridge").
To fit or remove a cartridge, always work in a well ventilated
area, preferably outdoors, away from other people and
inflammable material, never near a naked flame, heat or
spark source (cigarettes, electrical equipment, etc).
AS
CAMPINGAZ
®
ARE VALVE-OPERATED, THEY CAN BE DETACHED
FROM THE EQUIPMENT, EASILY TRANSPORTED
(EVEN WHEN NOT EMPTY) AND FITTED TO OTHER
CAMPINGAZ
EQUIPMENT IN THE CV 470 PLUS
®
RANGE DESIGNED TO OPERATE EXCLUSIVELY WITH
THESE CARTRIDGES.
1. Turn the control knob clockwise to the off position (O)
until it stops. (Fig. 7A)
2. Gently screw in the gas cartridge by turning it clockwise
until you hear a click (approximately one-sixth of a turn).
Do not force the cartridge to turn further than this; you
will risk damaging the cartridge valve. (Fig. 7B)
In the event of leakage (smell of gas prior to turning the
tap on), take the appliance outside immediately, in a
well-ventilated area with no combustion source, where the
leak can be located and halted. If you wish to check for
leaks on your appliance, do it outside. Do not try to detect
leaks using a flame, use soapy water.
D - CHECKING FOR GAS LEAKS
1. Keep away from flammable materials, do not smoke
near the appliance.
2. Make sure the control knob is in the "OFF" position (O).
3. Fit the regulator on the gas cartridge (see section C).
4. Never use a flame to detect a gas leak. Use a gas leak
solution.
5. Apply the solution to the connections between cartridge/
regulator / hose / appliance (Fig. 14).
6. Open the regulator valve (7) (Fig. 1B) by turning
counterclockwise from - to + (The control knob should
remain in the "OFF" (O) position). Bubbles in the gas
leak solution indicate if there is a gas leak.
7. Close the valve of the regulator.
8. The grill must not be used until all leaks have been
eliminated.
9. Disconnect the regulator from cartridge and contact the
local after sales service for assistance.
Important: Check for leaks at least once per year and each
time the gas cartridge is replaced.
