11.4 Performing VISOCOLOR
NANOCOLOR round cuvette tests
Instead of the VISOCOLOR
cuvette (16 mm OD) is used. A second round cuvette is used for the
zero setting (an untreated sample or a reagent blank value, depending
on the test).
The blank values of many tests are already stored in the PF-3. A zero
measurement is therefore necessary only in the case of individual
tests.
To measure a test, first prepare the sample (and the zero value, if
applicable) according to the test instructions. If no zero measurement
is necessary (NANOCOLOR
skipped.
1. Switch on photometer
2. Select desired parameter
3. Perform the zero measurement (not necessary for all tests) using
"NULL/ZERO"
4. Perform the sample measurement using "MESSEN" [measure]
5. Read measured value

If the measurement result is outside of the measuring range of the
test, the device displays "less than" (<) or "greater than" (>) and
the measurement range limit of the test. If a measured value was
measured with a test for which a calibration adjustment is stored,
an exclamation point is shown to the right of the measured value.
To delete the calibration adjustment, you must reset the parameter
properties to factory settings (see 12.11, page 41).
