○ Charging a USB device by battery (Fig. 7-a)

(2) Turn the USB power switch ON (Fig. 8)
When you turn the USB power switch ON, the USB
power indicator lamp will light up.

(3) Connect the USB cable. (Fig. 8)
Pull back the rubber cover and fi rmly plug in a
commercially available USB cable (appropriate to the
device being charged) into the USB port.
○ When the power cord is not plugged into an outlet and
the battery runs out of power, power output will stop
and the USB power indicator lamp will shut off .
○ When the USB power indicator lamp goes out, change
the battery or plug the power cord into an electrical
outlet.
(4) When charging is completed
○ The USB power indicator lamp will not go out when a
USB device has been completely charged.
To verify charge status, check the USB device.
○ Turn the USB power switch OFF and unplug the power
cord from the electrical outlet. (Fig. 8)
○ Remove the battery from the charger and place the
rubber cover over the USB port.
<Pausing of charging of a USB device>
○ When plugging in the power of the charger during
charging from the battery to a USB device, or when
attaching the battery during charging from the
charger to a USB device, charging is paused for about
5 seconds as the power supply source is determined.
○ When charging of the battery is complete, USB
charging is paused for about 5 seconds while it
performs a check.

○ When the remaining battery capacity is extremely
low, the charger will prioritize the charging of the
battery and temporarily stop USB charging, but the
USB charging will automatically resume when the
remaining battery capacity reaches a certain level.

PRIOR TO OPERATION

1. Power switch
Ensure that the switch is in the OFF position.
2. Check your work environment
Ensure the following before operation:
○ No fl ammable gas, liquid, or object at worksite.
○ When grinding thin steel sheet it may cause a high
c
booming noise.
To avoid such noise, place a rubber mat under the
workpiece.
○ Clear the area of children or unauthorized
personnel.
3. Mounting the wheel guard
Be sure to mount the wheel guard at an angle that will
protect the operator's body from injury by a broken
wheel piece.
[Installing Wheel Guard] (Fig. 9)
○ Open and hold the lever, then install the wheel guard
so that the projection on the wheel guard aligns with
the recess in the packing gland.
○ Rotate the wheel guard to an angle suitable for use,
then release your fi nger from the lever.
○ Rotate the wheel guard left or right until it locks into
place.
