Operating instructions
Multi-purpose trailers
Important!
Read these instructions carefully before
using the trailer for the first time. Observe
all safety information when operating this
unit.
Enter all the details shown on the
nameplate on your trailer into the box
below.
These details are very important for
identifying the type of trailer at a later
date, e.g. for ordering spare parts and for
Customer Service.
Safety information
Read the safety information and
operating instructions
Before using the trailer for the first time,
please read the following information in
order to avoid danger to persons, animals
and property
– all safety information provided here,
– the entire operating instructions,
– safety information and operating
instructions for the towing vehicle.
Make sure
– that you are familiar with all relevant
safety information,
– that all users of the trailer are familiar
with this information and have
understood it.
Injury hazard
Before using the trailer for the first time,
ensure that you are completely familiar
with the functions of the towing vehicle.
Do not use the trailer to transport people.
Always begin in 1st gear and never travel
faster than 15 km/h.
Children are often attracted to trailers and
their towing vehicles. Never allow children
to handle this unit.
Ensure that all screws, bolts, etc. are
properly tightened and observe all
maintenance instructions.
The towing vehicle performs differently
when it is pulling a load.
– Do not drive too close to ditches or
other obstacles.
– Do not drive on steep inclines.
Using the trailer for its
intended purpose
The trailer has been designed for
transporting various types of material and
equipment. Do not exceed the maximum
permissible load capacity (see
"Specifications").
The trailer should only be used in the
manner described in these operating
instructions and in observance of the
corresponding safety information.
The trailer can only be used in conjunction
with a suitably motorized towing vehicle.
The braking and towing capacities of the
towing vehicle must be capable of
handling the extra load.
The trailer is not intended for use on public
paths or highways.
Unpacking / Assembly
Check the contents while unpacking the
trailer.
Please contact your dealer if parts are
missing or damaged. Have the necessary
tools ready. This will help you to assemble
the trailer without difficulty.
Assemble the trailer in accordance with
the illustrations at the end of this manual.
The referred illustrations contain symbols
which have the following meanings.
Do not tighten screws just yet.
Tighten screws now.
Tighten screws lightly. Parts must
move easily after tightening.
Operating procedure
Hooking up the trailer to a
towing vehicle
Attach the aerator to the vehicle with the
Hitch Pin and secure with the Hair Cotter
Pin.
Loading the trailer
Do not exceed the maximum permissible
load capacity (see "Specifications"). Do
not place heavy loads behind the axle.
