Safety Instructions

2.1

Intended Use

The Sartocon Slice 50 Adapter
®
UF | DF Module. The device is suitable for the crossflow filtrations
"ultrafiltration" (UF) and "diafiltration" (DF).
For the control of the filtration processes, only the control unit and the
Ambr crossflow software may be used. The filtration processes can be
®
automated using the Ambr
subsequent Software versions must be installed.
If processes are used for the filtration processes whose phases or process
steps differ from the predefined processes in the Ambr
e.g., when operating a feed pump in reverse operation: A specific risk assess-
ment must be carried out for the filtration processes in order to exclude
hazards from the differing processes.
Only Sartocon Slice 50 filters may be used in the device. The filters in the
®
adapter are designed for single-use and must be disposed of after use. The
holder and adapter can be cleaned in place and reused.
The device is exclusively designed for use according to these instructions.
Any further use beyond this is considered improper.
If the device is not used properly: The protective systems of the device may
be impaired. This can lead to unforeseeable personal injury or property
damage.
