■ If the overpressure escapes at the rubber seal, the half mask needs to
be adjusted.
Adjust the half mask
■ Tighten both ends of the head straps until the half mask fits tightly to
your face.
10. Maintenance and repairs
The following chapter describes the procedures for maintenance and
service work to the half mask. Maintenance and service work may only be
carried out by specialist personnel.
10.1. Replace breathing filter
(see Fig. 1)
Remove breathing filter
■ Turn breathing filter [4] in the opposite direction to the arrow and re-
move from the half mask.
Insert breathing filter
■ Position the breathing filter [4] at the breathing filter fitting [1] of the
half mask so that the line marks of the breathing filter [4] and of the half
mask match.
■ Carefully turn the breathing filter [4] in the direction of the arrow as far
as it will go.
■ Replace the second breathing filter [4] in the same way.
■ Enter the installation date of the breathing filters [4] in the label on the
hygiene box.
10.2. Replace pre-filter
(see Fig. 1)
■ Release and remove filter holder [6] from breathing filter [4] .
■ Take old prefilter out [5] and discard.
■ Insert new prefilter [5] in the filter holder [6].
■ Press the breathing filter [4] into the filter holder [6] so that it seals all
round.
10.3. Check inhaling and exhaling membranes
Note!
Replace inhaling membrane and exhaling membrane at least every 2
years.
