■ Ensure that the inhalation membrane is not stuck to the valve seat.
■ Carefully release the inhaling membrane at the pin and check for cracks
or other signs of damage.
■ Carefully fit the inhaling membrane behind the pin.
■ The inhaling membrane must lie evenly on the sealing surface.
Check exhalation membrane
■ Release mask cap from mask body.
■ Hold exhaling membrane at the edge and pull out.
■ Check valve seat for soiling and signs of damage and clean if neces-
sary.
■ Press exhaling membrane into the valve seat until it engages in position
so that it lies smoothly and evenly.
10.4. Check rubber seal and head straps together with lower
straps
■ Check rubber seal of the face part for cracks or other signs of damage.
■ Check the head straps and lower straps for cracks or other signs of
damage.
11. Care and storage
Careful handling is necessary together with constant care of the product
in order to ensure that the half mask functions properly.
11.1. Cleaning and Disinfection
Note!
Use half mask respiratory protection cleaner for disinfecting (#134965).
Clean the half mask after six months at the latest, even if it has not been
used.
For cleaning and for replacing defective parts, the half mask can be easily
dismantled without any tools. The half mask must be cleaned of sweat
and condensate every time after it has been used.
■ Clean half mask and rubber seal thoroughly with the enclosed cleans-
ing wipes.
■ Check the functions every time after cleaning (see chapter 10.3).
