13. Operation of carrying
strap
The carrying strap is delivered in an
assembled and operationally ready
state.
Check after unpacking:
■ Carrying strap damaged.
■ Scope of delivery complete (see
chapter 6.3).
Ensure operational readiness
of carrying strap.
Notice!
Wear protective suit to adjust the
width of the carrying strap.
■ Adjust width on the belt clasp.
■ Put on and close carrying strap.
■ Check position of the padded adapter
plates.
The carrying strap is operationally
ready.
14. Service and mainte-
nance of carrying strap
The carrying strap is mainte-
nance-free.
Spare parts are available for main-
tenance (see chapter 17).
15. Service, maintenance
and storage
The breathing protection equipment
serves to protect your health. To
ensure this function, careful han-
dling as well as constant servicing
and maintenance of the product is
required.

Attention!
The breathing protection equip-
ment can be damaged by the use
of aggressive cleaning products.
→ Do not use aggressive clean-
ing products. Use SATA wet &
dry cleaner (article no. 75358) for
cleaning.
Incedur by the company Henkel
can be used for disinfection.
After each use, clean and disinfect
the breathing protection equipment
and check it for functionality and
leaks. Clean the diffuser block, if re-
quired. The facial seals (article no.
see spare parts) are to be replaced
in case of soiling. If several persons
are using the breathing protection
hood, then the disinfection is to
be carried out when the personnel
is changed. It is recommended to
have a separate breathing protec-
tion hood for each person. New
devices and spare parts, packed
air-tight, can be stored for 5 years.
16. Malfunctions
The following table describes mal-
functions, their causes and corre-
sponding remedies.
If the faults or malfunctions cannot
be eliminated by the described rem-
edies, then please send the breath-
ing protection equipment to SATA's
customer service department. (See
chapter 17 for address).
