If, after attempting to remove the tick, part of its mouthpiece remains in the skin, please consult a
doctor.
Medical recommendation: Tick bites can be associated with dangerous comorbidities. There-
fore, in case of a tick bite, contact your doctor. Vaccination against spring-summer meningoence-
phalitis is strongly recommended in known risk areas. In the event of a tick bite and the develop-
ment of a wandering and spreading redness around it, consult a doctor immediately.
After the tick removal, the bite site must be disinfected. This can be done with alcohol-based disin-
fectants such as Sterillium®.
Secondary treatment limitations: In case of cracks or fragile places, the product must be
disposed of.
Transportation and storage: Keep the instrument away from dust, humidity and contamina-
tion during storage and transportation. To prevent contamination and dust, store the tick removal
tweezers only in its package.
Preparation for cleaning: Immediately after use, wipe off gross contamination with a wet
wipe.
Manual cleaning/disinfection: Surface disinfectants or cleaners, such as pure alcohol or He-
lipur.
Automatic cleaning: Before cleaning, the tweezers must be disassembled into their compo-
nent parts (forceps, spring, handle).
• Cleaning: 55 °C / 10 min.

• Validated by the cleaning and disinfection device: Miele PG 8582, rinsing technology:
