NOTE:
This tool is shipped completely assembled. No assembly time
or tools are required.
TO START AND STOP MOTOR
The Cutout Tool is equipped with a
"rocker" type switch (A) Fig. 1, labeled
"OFF" on one end and "ON" on the
other.
To ensure that the tool is "OFF",
1.
depress the "OFF" end of the switch
button. Make sure that the power
circuit voltage is the same as that
shown on the specification plate.

Connect the tool to the power circuit.

SELECTING THE BIT
A variety of cutout bits are available. Refer to the listing in your Porter-Cable
Catalog to select the bit that is best suited to your application.
INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE BIT
The Model 7499 Cutout Tool is designed
to accept cutout bits with either .115",
1/8", or 1/4" diameter shanks. Insert bits
with 1/4" shanks directly into the spindle
shaft of the Cutout Tool. Secure the bits
with the screw (A) Fig. 2.
