143.255.001) that contains 3 sets of springs with different wire
diameters. We recommend regularly checking (EVERY RUN) the
wear of the various components and making sure that the spring
guide does not have grooves that cause slipping and loss of
power. In order to keep the number of clutch insertion revolutions
constant over time, we recommend installing an rpm counter that
permits the clutch to be adjusted as required by consumption.
7.14 TIMING
The minibike's ignition is fixed. Check out often the distance
between the spark coil and the rotor by using a thickness gauge
0,3 mm (photo no. 19).
7.15 FUEL
Your motorcycle is fitted with a two stroke engine that requires a
mix of petrol and 2% synthetic oil. Only use petrol with an
octane rating of 96 to 100 or more. In case of knocking try a
different brand of petrol or a higher octane rating.
7.16 CARBURETTOR
Carburation has been set under standard conditions.
Different climatic and barometric conditions may require specific
adjustments for the correct adaptation.
DANGER. Petrol is extremely inflammable and petrol vapour
can explode easily. Refrain from smoking and avoid all naked
flames or sparks where petrol is being drained or where
re-fuelling is being performed.
7.17 WASHING THE MOTORCYCLE
Cover the following parts to prevent water from entering before
washing your motorcycle:
- the throttle control
- the brakes control
- the air intake and filter
- the exhaust hole.
Avoid directing jets of water directly on to the following parts:
- the wheel hubs
- the swinging arm pivot
- the steering head
- the brake callipers
- the spark plug hood.
On completion of washing, lubricate the above parts as neces-
sary, then start the engine and leave it run for a few minutes.
WARNING! Clean the vehicle when engine is cold.
WARNING! Never use solvents or alcohol to clean the
plexiglass cover. Use only water and soap or the appropriate
detergent.
WARNING! Make sure that the brakes are fully efficient before
you start riding the motorcycle.
7.18 REMOVAL OF THE FRONT FAIRING
Remove one of the two screws from the two fairing connecting
plates positioned beneath the engine and unscrew the two cover-
front bracket support screws. Slightly open the two fairing halves
from below with your hands and pull out the fairing in the direc-
tion of the motorcycle's front wheel.
