4.3
Electrical connection
If required, use one of the mains power adapters provided for connection to a building electrical
en
socket.
⇒ Unroll the power cord and insert the power plug into a building electrical
socket
♦ All 4 LEDs light up, the measurement system initializes This can take ap-
prox 10 seconds
♦ A short acoustic signal is output when initialization is complete
Once initialization is complete:
♦ The green operating indicator (9) lights up
♦ The yellow indicator for the defined threshold value lights up (5, 6, 7).
4.4
Setting the warning threshold (minimum flow rate)
The threshold value to be set depends on the dust detection unit (suction mouth) used
In the case of dust detection units tested in accordance with GS-IFA-M20, the minimum flow rate is indi-
cated on the dust detection unit
For the Renfert suction mouth (REF: 2925 0000), a threshold value of "20" must be defined. For threshold
values for other certified dust detection units, contact the respective manufacturer.
If a threshold value cannot be obtained, the largest threshold value of "25" must be set accordingly on the
SILENT flow sensor and an appropriately adjusted, higher suction level selected on the extraction unit.
⇒ Press the button until a confirmation tone is output.
♦ The green operating indicator (9, Fig. 4) flashes quickly.
♦ The yellow indicator for the defined threshold value lights up (5, 6, 7, Fig. 4).
To modify the threshold value:
⇒ Press the button briefly.
♦ Every time you press the button, a confirmation tone is output, and the next threshold value is select-
ed
To save the selected threshold value:
⇒ Press the button until a confirmation tone is output.
♦ The green operating indicator (9, Fig 4) lights up
♦ The yellow indicator for the defined threshold value lights up (5, 6, 7, Fig. 4).
If a button is not pressed for 5 seconds, the threshold value defined at that time is automatically
saved; a short warning tone is output and the unit exits setting mode.
4.5
Checking leak-tightness
♦ The SILENT flow sensor is connected to a socket.
♦ The green operating indicator (9) lights up
♦ The yellow indicator for the defined threshold value lights up (5, 6, 7).
⇒ Switch suction on
♦ The green operating indicator begins to flash.
♦ The yellow indicator for the defined threshold value lights up.
⇒ Close the suction mouth with your hand so that air is no longer drawn in through the suction mouth
⇒ Pay attention to noises that could indicate leakage
