3.6 Hydraulic connections

N.B .: unless otherwise stated, the nominal pipe diameter refers to the internal diameter.

The choice and sizing of the hydraulic lines are down to the decision of the designer, who ne-

eds to operate according to the rules of good practice and with current legislation, taking into

account that undersized pipes will cause faulty operation.

To make the connections:

- position the hydraulic lines

- tighten the connections, using a spanner and counter-spanner

- check for any loss of fluid

- cover the connections with insulating material

The hydraulic lines and joints must be thermally insulated.

Avoid partial insulation of pipes.

Do not tighten too much to avoid damaging the insulation.

Make sure the hydraulic seal is suitable.

3.7 Condensation drainage

The condensation drainage system must be suitably sized (pipe internal diameter min.16 mm)

and the pipes must be positioned so as to maintain a set slope along the whole route, which

must never be less than 1° or 1%. When installing the horizontal version, the drainage pipe con-

nects directly to the drainage tray, positioned on the side, under the hydraulic connections.

When installing the vertical version, the drainage pipe connects to the one already on the

machine.

If possible, allow the condensation fluid to flow directly into a channel or

"white water" drain.

In case of drainage into a mains network, it is recommended to fit a trap to prevent

unpleasant odours from rising into rooms. The bend of the trap must be lower

than the condensation basin.

If the condensation needs to be drained into a container, this must be open

to the atmosphere and the pipe must not be immersed in water, preventing problems of

adhesiveness and counter-pressure which could block free flow.

It is in any case advisable, at the end of the installation process, to check the correct flow of

condensation fluid by very slowly pouring water (approx. 1/2 l in approx. 5-10 minutes) in the

basin.
