Mounting the Guard
WARNING

1. Remove the battery pack from the trimmer.
2. Lay the trimmer on the ground or the floor with the trimmer head facing upward.
3. Align the two bolts (included) with the two screw holes in the shaft (Fig. 4), and then
tighten them using a Philips head screwdriver (not included) as shown in Fig. 5.

Front-Assist Handle
1. Remove the battery pack from the trimmer.
2. Loose the wing nut and remove it along
with the hex bolt from the front-assist
handle (Fig. 6).
Always wear gloves when mounting or replacing the guard . Be careful
of the line-cutting blade on the guard and wear gloves to protect your
