CAUTION
Before starting the machine, read through
these instructions carefully.
Also read through the red safety instructions
before putting the machine to use.
For reasons of product safety, the machine
must not be modified.

General
Lubricators BLG 10 and BLG 30 are designed to lubri-
cate compressed air equipment using mineral oil.
They are intended for a max. working pressure of 20
bar (e).
Design (fig. 1)
The lubricators have:
1. A welded oil chamber.
2. Filler plug with venting duct.
3. Venturi-type air through-flow pipe, welded at the oil
chamber.
Safety regulations
Denotes a hazard or hazardous procedure which CAN lead to serious or life-
threatening injuries if the warning is not observed.
Denotes a risk or risky procedure which CAN lead to personal injury or dam-
age to equipment if the warning is not observed.

Use approved personal protective equipment.
Use Atlas Copco Genuine Parts only.
Always replace worn or damaged signs.
4. Air pipe with holes drilled so that one of the
holes is always above oil level, independently of
the lubricator's position.
5. Oil pipe with holes drilled so that the oil is forced
forward to the oil dosage screw independently of
the lubricator's position.
6. Oil dosage screw with which the oil supply can be
regulated even when the lubricator is in operation.
7. Oil dosage screw lock ring.
8. Plug to prevent contaminants from entering the
dosage unit.
9. Claw couplings for connecting hoses.
10.Venting duct for venting any remaining compress-
ed air when refilling with oil.
Function (fig. 1)
3
Air flows through the lubricator from the inlet (A) partly
directly to the compressed air tool and partly through
the air pipe (4) into the oil chamber (1) so that static
pressure acts on the oil level in the lubricator. The air
forces the oil up into the oil pipe (5) through both the
pipe opening and the small drilled holes in the oil pipe,
finally reaching the oil dosage screw (6).
The through-flow pipe (3) is pinched opposite the oil
duct (Venturi), thus increasing the flow rate of the
compressed air and reducing the air pressure at the
mouth of the oil duct.
Because of the pressure difference, the lubricating oil
is forced out into the through-flow pipe where the oil is
atomized and carried with the air via the hose to the
compressed air tool.
The supply of oil can be regulated by using the oil dos-
age screw to open or close the oil duct.
