Maintenance
Thanks to their simple design, the lubricators do not
need much maintenance. If contaminants should col-
lect in the oil chamber and pipe, these can easily be
flushed clean with paraffin (kerosene) or the like. As
the pipe socket around the refill hole is level with the
inner edge of the end of the lubricator the lubricator
can be completly emptied and then blown clean.
Correct oil dosage
!
WARNING
Never refill with oil when the lubricator is pres-
surized!
Fill up with oil at the beginning of each shift, and as of-
ten as experience indicates that a refill is needed.
∗ Shut off the main valve for the compressed air
hose to the lubricator end tool.
∗ Blow the hose clean of any remaining compress-
ed air.
∗ Wipe the oil filler plug so that no contaminants en-
ter the oil chamber.
∗ Unscrew the filler plug a couple of turns to expose
the venting duct and vent any remaining air.
∗ Fill up with the recommended grade of oil (see rec-
ommended lubricants, below).
∗ Screw on the filler plug and the lubricator is ready
for use.

Connecting the lubricator
Connect the lubricator 3 - 4 metres from the com-
pressed air tool.
To prevent oil from leaking out of the lubricator, place it
horizontally with the filler plug upwards.
The arrow on the top of the lubricator must point in the
direction of air flow.
When using a remote control starter, connect the lu-
bricator before the starter, as seen in the direction of
flow.
If the lubricator is connected vertically, the arrow indi-
cating flow direction must point downwards. Other-
wise the oil chamber will half empty via the air pipe
when the compressed air is shut off. In vertical posi-
tion there is somewhat less pressure difference to
force out the oil. Open the dosage screw a bit more to
obtain the same special oil flow son when operating in
the direction of the air flow arrow.
Oil dosage (fig. 2)
Check that the tool is receiving enough lubricant. BLG
10 is delivered with the oil dosage screw open 1/2
turn.
BLG 30 is delivered with the oil dosage screw open 1
1/2 turn.
Adjust oil dosage with a screwdriver.

If the lubricator is stored filled with oil, place it with the

through the mouth of the air pipe.

become loose, the lock ring will prevent if from
