• After removing the appliance from its packing, make
sure that it is intact: if in doubt consult a qualified
professional. Do not leave packaging materials within
the reach of children.
• As with any electrically-operated units, you must
observe the following basic rules when handling
your product:

Precaution:
• Do not make any modifications of any kind to your
product.
• The appliance must not be exposed to atmospheric
conditions (rain, sun, etc.).
• Perform periodic inspection on the unit to see that it
is free of visual defects. If any are found, do not
operate the unit and immediately contact Vortice.
• The unit must be mounted in a vertical position, as
indicated by the manufacturer, and the air-out nozzle
must point downward
• Do not place any objects on the unit.
• The electrical mains to which the unit is connected
must conform to the current standards.
• Since the appliance is double insulated, it does not
need to be earthed.
• The electrical power source to which the product is
to be connected must be able to provide the
maximum amount of electrical power required by the
product. If it cannot do this, contact an electrician for
appropriate remedial action.
• When installing the appliance, a multi-pole switch
must be used. The switch interpole distance must be
no less than 3 mm.
The power-source data must be consistent with the
electrical data shown on the nameplate A.

- do not touch it if you are barefoot;
- do not let it be used by children.
• Do not operate the appliance in the presence of
inflammable vapours (alcohol, insecticides, petrol, etc.).
• When removing the unit for storage, first turn off the
main switch, then disconnect the electrical cord from
the wall socket; then store it in a place which is
inaccessible to children.
• If the electrical mains conductor measures 14 mm
max or is carried in a rigid tube (Helios F16 external
or equivalent), replace the seal with the one
provided in the bag of accessories.
• The appliance must not be located directly under an
electrical wall socket.
• When installing the unit in a public place, make sure
a thermal or differential switch is connected to it in
series.
• Do not obstruct the air-out nozzle.
• Should the appliance be dropped or suffer a heavy
blow, have it checked immediately by a qualified
engineer.
• Should the appliance fail to operate or not operate
correctly, turn the switch to off. Contact Vortice
immediately and, if repairs are required, make sure
that original Vortice parts are used.
• EASY DRY has been pre-calibrated at the factory. If
it becomes necessary to adjust the sensitivity, act on
the trimmer (fig. 10).
Note
• In case of overheating, the current will be
automatically cut off and turn back on when the
temperature drops back to normal. If this first
cut-off device malfunctions, a second protection
device will cut in and turn off the power to the
resistance.
• EASY DRY is equipped with an anti-vandalism
device the interrupts the dispensing of voltage
after 5-10 minutes of continuous functioning and
automatically resets upon removal of the
vandalizing obstacle. The product has a time-out
function of between 2 and 5 seconds that allows
removing the hands during drying without the
product immediately turning off.
• Important
This hair dryer has to be fixed out of range of
anyone who may use the bath or the shower.
