5.4 2-ELEMENT MULTI-PURPOSE LADDER

ASSEMBLING THE STABILIZER BAR
1) Remove one of the feet from the
stabilizer bar by loosening the
screw, as shown (1).
2) Place the stabilizer bar in the slots
corresponding to the anchoring
holes (2).
3) Tighten the plug on the bar using
the screw previously removed (3).
4) Install the 2 aluminum blocks at
the base of the element, and make
sure the stabilizer bar is also
secured (4).
lf you wish to lean the ladder
against the wall, follow what it
said below.
Lay the ladder on the floor.
1) Extend the narrowest element up
to the desiderd height.
2) Block the ladder at the desiderd
height by means of the blocking
devices.
3) Lean the ladder against the wall with
the internal side facing the user.
4) Anchor the ladder on top with a belt
or another device, in order to avoid
any sliding or side skidding risk.
5) The ladder is now ready for use.

Before using the ladder, read carefully the general norms
(from page 36 to page 44).
lf you want to use the ladder as a
"shears" ladder.
Lay the ladder on the floor.
1) Make sure that the pivot (A)
is well hooked on both sides of
the slot (B).
2) Open the ladder.
3)
Always use the locking hinges to
avoid that the ladder opens too
much or closes while on it.
Insert the red screw anchor
into the slots (C) on the other
side of the support frame.
Then tighten them up.
4) The ladder is ready for use.
Use of the ladder on surfaces at
different levels.
In such circumstances it is possible
to counterbalance the difference in
height by shortening the narrower
element.
1) Lay the ladder on the floor.
2) Pull the yellow knobs to release
them from the rung slots, then
rotate them (1/2 turn) to block
them on the outside.
3) Unscrew the pin (D) and
extract it from the step.
4) Insert the pin (D) in the hole of the
step you need and screw it.
At this point follow the instruction for
the 2-element multi-purpose shears
ladder (starting from point "2").
