 Only use the appliance with original accessories.
 Place the appliance on a stable, level surface. Ensure suffi cient distan-
ce between the appliance and strong heat sources such as hotplates,
heating pipes, etc.
 Do not clean the appliance with hard, scratchy or abrasive cleaning
agents such as steel wool or similar.
 Defective components must always be replaced with original replace-
ment parts. Only such parts will guarantee that the safety requirements
are fulfi lled.
 ATTENTION: The egg piercer in the measuring cup is sharp. Handle it
with care to avoid injury.
 Do not use the device without water.
 Fill in only cold water.
 Do not fi ll the measuring cup beyond the maximum 100 ml mark.
 Clean the device and surfaces that come into contact with food after
each use as described in the chapter "cleaning and maintenance".
2.3 Sources of danger
2.3.1 Danger of burns
WARNING
The water heated in this device and the device itself can become very
hot. Please observe the following safety notices in order not to burn or
scald yourself or others.
 During operation the device heats up; hot water and hot steam escape
from the top of the lid; there is a risk of burns.
 The device will be very hot. Let it cool down before moving it.
