The further to the right you turn the control knob, the longer the boiling time will be. The
longer the boiling time, the harder the boiled eggs will be. The egg symbols on the control
knob provide a guide line:
Very soft - soft boiled eggs
6-9 minutes
PLEASE NOTE
The device will only start to heat the water when turned to the fi rst hardness setting.
The hardness setting you choose will depend on your personal taste. Use the settings
described above as a starting point. After just a short time using the device you will have
no problem choosing the setting which is best for you.
5.3 Boiling eggs
1.
Prepare the unit as described in „Before use".
2.
Turn the switch to the desired hardness level.
3.
The boiling process will begin after an acoustic signal sounds and the operating light fl ashes
once. The operating light will be permanently on for the entire boiling process.
4.
As soon as the boiling process fi nishes, three acoustic signals will sound and the operating
light will start to fl ash.
5.
The device will be in standby mode.
6.
Turn the switch to "OFF".
7.
Remove the lid from the device.
8.
Carefully lift the egg holder out of the device using the handles and cool the eggs under
running water.
9.
Pour any remaining water out of the device.
WARNING
Hot steam will escape for the device when you remove the lid! Only touch the lid hand-
les and allow condensation to drip onto the heating plate by turning the lid over the
device.
Let the device cool down fully before you put it away.
PLEASE NOTE
If you turn the knob during the boiling process this will reset the timer and boiling will
start again from the beginning.
The device will only operate if the control knob has been set to "OFF" before the device
is connected to mains power. In such cases turn the knob back to the "OFF" position and
then select the desired hardness setting.
