Transport and storage

For transport, allow the motor to cool down and
secure the machine from slipping before trans-
porting it in a vehicle. This ensures that damage
or injury is prevented. The pole pruner should
always be transported with the transport protec-
tion device attached.

Use the blade guard
appliance.
■
Ensure that the appliance cannot switch on
during transport (see figure).
■
Always clean the appliance thoroughly before
storing.
■
Store the appliance in a dry place and out of
the reach of children.
■
Store the appliance horizontally or secured
against falling.
■
Empty the oil tank. Organic chain oil
become resinous.

Cleaning and maintenance

Always switch the appliance off and
remove the battery before carrying
out any work on the appliance.

Clean and service the appliance after each use
depending on the operating conditions. Failure
to clean the appliance may result in material
damage and malfunctions.
■
Never allow fluids to get into the device.
■
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the housing.
Never use petrol, solvents or cleansers which
can damage plastic.
■
If a lithium-ion battery is to be stored for an
extended period, the charge level should be
checked regularly. The optimum charge level is
between 50% and 80%. The optimum storage
climate is cool and dry.
■
The pole pruner must be cleaned of sawdust at
regular intervals. For this purpose, use a
compressed air blow gun, for example.
