HOUR METER
The machine is equipped with the an hourmeter (fig. 27) with three different functions:
1) It always shows the no. of hours worked, even when the key is not inserted.
2) It displays the no. of hours to the next engine oil change (OIL CHANGE IN...HS). The first oil change must
be carried out after the first 20 working hours than every 100 working hours. The indicator "OIL CHANGE"
flashes automatically when it is necessary to change the oil.
3) It displays the no. of hours to the next lubrication (LUBE IN...HS). Lubrication must be carried out every 40
working hours. The indicator "LUBE" flashes automatically when lubrication must be carried out.
By pushing the white button you can choose the function to be displayed on the hour meter.
4) To reset the hourmeter after the engine oil change or after lubrication proceed as follows:
Push the button until the relative alarm will flash (OIL CHANGE IN...HS or LUBE IN...HS). Then keep the
button pushed for 6 seconds until the alarm stops flashing.
MOWING POSITION
To adjust the cutting height use the lever (fig. 1B, no. 6). On rough or uneven ground, it is best to work with the
deck in the highest position, to avoid knocks on the blades.
MOWING ON SLOPES
If possible always travel up and down rather than across slopes. When turning, take care that the wheels on
the uphill side do not meet any obstacles (stones, logs, roots, etc.) which might make you lose control of the
machine. If the drive wheels tend to slip, fasten the knob (fig. 7, pos. D) to adjust the cutting deck floating
springs in order to increase the load on the drive wheels and improve traction. In such conditions never use
the mower deck lifting pedal (fig. 1, no. 8) because it can affect the machine's stability. Always make an
evaluation of the working conditions and take care on damp ground or wet grass since the machine might slip.
When going downhill, start off slowly and try not to drive over dry or cut grass because the wheels lose grip.
Never use this machine on slopes greater than 15° (26%).
GRASS CATCHER
The grass catcher is fitted with a sensor that automatically blocks the blade rotation when the grass catcher is
full. The catcher has than to be emptied; this operation can be carried out directly from the driving seat by
using the lever (fig. 1 n°10): the door opens automatically. The grid inside the catcher must be kept clean in
order for the grass catcher to work properly and to prevent clogging (fig. 19). IMPORTANT! The full grass
catcher sensor can be regulated following this procedure: turn the sensor circular plate in clockwise rotation or
anti-clockwise rotation taking into consideration the kind of grass to cut (fig. 39).
GRASS CATCHER CLOSING
It is possible to inspect the grass catcher by lifting up the cover (fig. 20). The closing of the grass catcher is
magnetic, while the opening Is automatic.
SAFETY DEVICES
Remember that the engine stops whenever:
- the operator gets up from the seat, if the parking brake is disengaged and the PTO is engaged.
In addition, the engine will not start if:
- the blades are engaged;
- the operator is not sitting in the driving seat;
- the forward pedal is not in the stop position;
If you start off with the parking brake engaged, the engine stops.
IMPORTANT: to get over obstacles, sideways and curbs press the pedal (fig. 1, no. 8). Do no use this pedal to
travel long distances.
