Filter disassembly and replacement

WARNING!
When the vacuum cleaner is used to vacuum
hazardous substances, the fi lters become
contaminated, thus:
Work with care and avoid spilling the vacuumed
dust and/or material.
Place the disassembled and/or replaced filter in a
sealed plastic bag.
Close it hermetically.
Dispose of the filter in accordance with the laws
in force.
WARNING!
Filter replacement is a serious matter. The fi lter must
be replaced with one of identical fi ltering surface
characteristics. Otherwise the vacuum cleaner will not
operate correctly.
Primary fi lter replacement
Suction hose

Stop the vacuum cleaner.
Remove the suction hose (1).
Use the lever (2) to remove the cover (3) together with
the fi lter.
Remove the old fi lter from the cage.
Fit the new fi lter and secure it in the cage with special
clamps.
Install the cover and the fi lter in the reverse order of
removal.
Dispose of the old fi lter according to the laws in force.

Stop the vacuum cleaner.
Remove the suction hose (12).
Unlock the shaker stop (1).
Unscrew the knob (2).
Use the lever (4) to remove the cover (3).
Loosen the screw (9) of the primary fi lter (8) fi xing clamp
(10) using a screwdriver.
Remove the fi lter ring (7) with the corresponding seal (6)
and the spring (5).
In place of them fi t the absolute fi lter (11) with the seal
supplied together with it.
Tighten the clamp (10) screw (9) fi xing the primary fi lter
(8) to the absolute fi lter (11).
Insert the cover again and screw the knob (2).
Lock the knob again (2) using the fi lter shaker stop (1).
Close the cover hermetically using the lever (4).
Fit the suction hose (12) back in place.

Tightness inspection

Stop the vacuum cleaner and check the condition of the
pipes.
Make sure that connecting hose (1) is in a good condition
and correctly fi xed.
If the hose is damaged, broken or badly connected to the
unions, it must be replaced.
When sticky materials are treated, check for possible
clogging along the hose (2), in the inlet and on the baffl e
plate inside the fi ltering chamber.
Scrape the inlet from the outside and remove the
deposited waste as indicated in the fi gure.

Stop the vacuum cleaner and check the fi ltering chamber
for tightness.
If the seal (1) between the container and the fi ltering
chamber (3) fails to guarantee tightness:
Loosen the four screws (2) that lock the fi ltering
chamber (3) against the vacuum cleaner structure.
Allow the fi ltering chamber (3) to lower down and
tighten the screws once it has reached the tightness
position (2).
The seal (1) must be replaced if it is torn, cut, etc...
Replace the seal (1) if the degree of tightness is still
not optimum.
