Preparations
Water:
The transparent thermostat CT 52 is designed for operation with water only!
SI Analytics GmbH recommends the mixing ratio of 70 % deionized water and 30 %
tap water. The quality of water depends on local conditions.
•
Due to the high concentration of lime, hard water is not suitable for
temperature control because it leads to calcification in the bath.
•
Ferrous water can cause corrosion - even on stainless steel.
•
Chloric water can cause pitting corrosion.
•
Distilled and deionized water is unsuitable. Their special properties cause
corrosion in the bath, even in stainless steel.
•
Prevent humidity from entering into the immersion thermostat CT72.
•
Do not drain the bath fluid while it is hot!
Check the temperature of the bath fluid prior to draining (by switching the unit
on for a short moment, for example).
•
Store and dispose the used bath fluid according to the laws for environmental
protection.
•
Acryl- baths are not resistent to solvents.
Avoid contamination of the bath fluid with solvents.
Filling
• Recommended maximum filling level with water as bath liquid is 33 mm below
the cover plate.
Draining
• Press the mains switch to turn the transparent thermostat CT 52 off.
• Disconnect the power plug from the mains socket!
• Empty the bath tank (with water dispense pump, for example).
•
Observe the laws and regulations of the water distribution company valid in the
location where the unit is operated.
•
Make sure that the tubes are securely attached.
•
Employ suitable connecting tubing (temperature range).
•
Avoid mechanical work (torsion, bending) to be applied to tubing.
•
Regularly check the tubing for material defects (e.g. for cracks).
For applications near the ambient temperature, the cooling coil must be connected
to the water mains.
Using tubing, connect the cooling coil (10a / 10b) to the tap water supply, and lead
the tap water in a sink through the return connector.
