Duct Options
(Optional accessories and must be ordered separately)
This heater may be ducted using the approved L.B. White
distribution devices:
• 12 in. x 25 ft. (30.48 cm x 7.62 m) duct per heater
outlet. L. B. White part 500-30052. A duct adapter is not
required.
• 16 in. x 25 ft. (40.64 cm x 7.62 m) duct kit. L. B. White
part 500-30076. A duct adapter is required, 500-30902.
• Locate the duct under suitable wind barrier materials for
job-site requirements.
Substitute ductwork material is acceptable but must
conform to the following requirements.
1. Duct must have a minimum material temperature of
300°F/149°C.
2. Ducting up to 100 ft./30.48 m can be connected to the
heater as long as the static pressure does not exceed
the dataplate limit. Increased static pressure will
reduce flow rate and can cause the high temperature
limits to shut the heater down. Bends and kinks in the
duct, or duct collapse are all likely to increase static
pressure.
- Maximum static pressure per duct is 0.7 in. W.C. / 0.17
kPa
- When using the 16 in. duct adapter, maximum static
pressure is 0.5 in. W.C. / 0.12 kPa.
3. Alternate 12 in. (30.48 cm) duct can be used from the
following manufacturer's:
- Artic Helix - Norseman
- Artic Econorush - Norseman
- Hitex Series - NTI Global
- Ventflex Series - NTI Global
Note:
■ When using the ducting, keeps duct bends to a
minimum.
■ Reducing the number of bends will ensure that the
warm air exiting the heater flows freely, thereby
preventing overheating. If there are excessive bends,
the high limit switches may open.

Adjusting to High
Elevation
This heater burner air setting is factory set to operate
normally at 0-2,000 ft. above sea level. Allowance
for elevation must be taken into consideration when
operating above 2000 ft. A 2% rate reduction for every
1000 feet above sea level is necessary for the heater
to operate safely. For service of re-rating the heater,

burner must be maintained to meet the
heating load that the appliance has been
sized to meet.
Thermostat
(Optional accessories and must be ordered separately)
The optional remote thermostat is a fully enclosed NEMA
4X with a single stage thermostat.

If a thermostat is not needed or required, select manual
( I ) setting on the selector switch.
