Entering your area code

When you use this phone for the first time, or move to an area
that has a different area code, you must enter your area code.
Otherwise, you cannot use some functions of this phone and the
Caller ID functions.
This is also necessary because the phone must be able to
distinguish between local and long distance calls to properly dial
calls from the Caller ID list.
When you connect the AC power adaptor to
an AC outlet for the first time or if the area
code is erased, the following display appears.
(PROGRAM)
To check the area code
Press Jog Button.
The area code appears on the display for 20 seconds.
To change the area code

Press (PROGRAM).

Press Jog Button.
The current area code appears on the display.

Enter a new area code using the dialing keys.
You will hear a confirmation beep.
AREA CODE= ???
When "AREA CODE= ???" is
displayed, enter your three
digits area code using the
dialing keys.
AREA CODE= 209
Jog Button
You will hear a confirmation
beep.
