Disconnect the tool from the air source
WARNING
before attempting to clear a jammed nail.
Such precautionary safety measures reduce the risk or
unintentional tool operation.
If a nail becomes jammed in the nosepiece, follow these
instructions to remove the jammed nail (figure 7):
1. Release the trigger.
2. Disconnect the air supply from the tool.
3. Remove nails from the magazine as described in "Nail
Unloading."
4. Loosen screws on the nose plate.
5. Remove the nose plate.
6. Remove the nail, using pliers if necessary.
7. Replace the nose plate back on tool.
8. Replace and tighten screws on nose plate.
9. Reinsert nails into the magazine as described in "Nail
Loading".
10. Reconnect air supply as described in "Connecting Air
Supply".
NOTE: If the driver blade does not return to its up position,
disconnect air supply and contact a BOSCH factory service
center or authorized BOSCH service station.
NOTE: If nails continue to jam frequently in the nose piece,
contact BOSCH service center for repair.
The red indicator bar is used to show when the tool needs to
be reloaded, figure 8. When the tool is loaded with a nail
strip, the red indicator bar will no longer be visible in the
indicator window. As the nail strip is comsumed, the red
indicator bar will start to become visible. The tool may be
reloaded when the red indicator bar is half way exposed in
the indicator window.
When the tool magazine is empty, the lock-out system will
engage the primary trigger, preventing actuation. Do not
press trigger with excessive force when lock-out is engaged
as the lock-out may become damaged, allowing tool to fire
and damage drive blade. Reload nails to continue.
