• When wiring between the indoor unit and the UV streamer air purifier unit, arrange the wires so that
structural objects such as the control box lid can be tightly closed.
Failure to do so may result in terminals heating, electric shock, fire, etc.
• Install the specified earth leakage circuit breaker for the indoor and outdoor units.
Failure to do so may result in electric shock or fire.
• Ventilate if refrigerant gas leaks during installation.
Refrigerant gas may generate toxic gas if exposed to fire.
Leaking refrigerant gas in excess of the limit concentration may result in an oxygen deficiency accident
or fire.
• After completing the installation work, check that no refrigerant gas is leaking.
Toxic gas may generate if refrigerant gas leaks inside a room and is exposed to fire in a fan heater, stove,
or burner.
• Do not directly touch refrigerant leaking from a refrigerant piping joint.
There is a danger of frostbite.
• Carry out earth wiring
Do not connect earth wiring to gas pipes, water pipes, lightning rods, or telephone wires.
Incomplete earth wiring may result in electric shock or fire.
• Be sure to cut off the power supply before touching electrical components.
Touching a live part may result in electric shock.
• Do not run the unit without the pleated filter, protective net, or other parts.
Do not look inside the unit while it is running.
Do not put your finger into the unit while it is running.
Do not run the unit if it is damaged.
Deep ultraviolet rays may leak and harm your eyes and skin.
Especially for those with photosensitivity, symptoms may appear even for a short exposure.
• Do not touch the UV unit.
Doing so may result in UV unit malfunction.
CAUTION
• Install the indoor and outdoor units, the UV streamer air purifier unit, and the power supply and inter-unit
wiring at least 1 m away from televisions and radios.
Failure to do so may result in picture interference and noise.
(However, depending on the radio waves, a distance of 1 m may not be sufficient to eliminate noise.)
• Install the indoor unit as far away from fluorescent lights as possible.
If a wireless remote controller is installed in a room with an electronic lighting system (inverter or rapid-
start type), its transmission distance may be shorter than expected.
• Do not install in the following locations:
1. Places that use a lot of hairspray such as barbers' and hairdressers'. May result in abnormal noise
due to silicone adhesion.
2. Places that use a lot of cosmetics and other products containing silicone.
Adherence of silicone or other insulators to the streamer unit's needles may impede streamer
discharge.
3. Places full of oil mist, or places such as kitchens, where there is a high concentration of oil spray or
vapour.
Plastic parts may deteriorate and fall off, resulting in water leak or fire.
4. Places where corrosive gases, such as sulphurous acid gas, are generated.
Corroded copper pipes or soldered parts may result in refrigerant leak.
5. Places with machines that generate electromagnetic waves.
Malfunctions in the control system may occur, making normal operation impossible.
6. Places where flammable gases may leak, where carbon fibre or ignitable dust is suspended in the air,
or where volatile flammables, such as thinner or gasoline, are handled.
May ignite surrounding flammables and cause fire.
7. Humid places such as bathrooms. May result in electric shock or fire.
8. Smoke-filled places such as smoking rooms. May cause the filters to become dirty and clogged.
9. Places where UV detectors are installed. May cause the detectors to issue false alarms.
