MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
Always release all pressure, disconnect from power
supply, and allow unit to cool to the touch before
cleaning or making repairs on the air compressor.
WARNING:
Always wear eye protection with side shields
marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do
so could result in objects being thrown into your
eyes resulting in possible serious injury.
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement
parts. Use of any other parts could create a hazard
or cause product damage.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline,
petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc.,
come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can
damage, weaken or destroy plastIc which could
result in serious personal injury.
LUBRICATION
All of the bearings in this product are lubricated with a suf-
ficient amount of high grade lubricant for the life of the unit
under normal operating conditions. Therefore, no further
lubrication is required.
POWER SUPPLY CORD REPLACEMENT
If replacement of the power supply cord is necessary, this
must be done by an authorized service center in order to
avoid a safety hazard.
REPLACING THE AIR FILTER
See Figure 10, page 17.
Press and rotate the air filter cover counterclockwise to
remove the air filter and air filter assembly.
Grasp the tabs on the air filter cover and pull away from
the housing.
Remove the old air filter.
Install the new air filter.
Replace the air filter cover by lining up the tabs and push-
ing it onto the housing until it clicks in place.
Replace the air filter assembly into the compressor by
turning it clockwise. Do not over tighten.
MOVING THE AIR COMPRESSOR
See Figure 11, page 17.
Make sure the air compressor is off.
With your foot on the rear of the frame, tilt the machine
toward you until it balances on the wheels, then roll the
machine to the desired location.
STORING THE AIR COMPRESSOR
See Figure 12, page 17.
Unplug the air compressor.
Disconnect air hose and air tool from the product.
Drain air tanks according to instructions.
Thoroughly clean air compressor and any accessories.
Coil power cord around handle and motor as shown.
Secure in place using the cord clip.
TRANSPORTING THE AIR COMPRESSOR
See Figure 13, page 17.
Unplug the air compressor.
Disconnect air hose and air tool from the product.
Drain air tanks according to instructions.
If transporting the air compressor in an upright position,
make sure it is secured to prevent tipping.
