7.2 Type SPC PID set up as process controller
In this step, the PID is set up as a process controller:
1. Setting up the positioner: For description see "Defining the basic settings"
2. Setting up the process controller: Add the additional function P.CONTROL to the main menu (MAIN) via the configuration menu
(ADD.FUNCTION).

7.2.1 Basic settings of the process controller
--> In the main menu (MAIN), select the P.CONTROL function and make the basic settings

MENU Press for 3 s. Change from process level to setting level.
ADD.FUNCTION selection.
ENTER selection. The possible additional functions are displayed.
P.CONTROL selection.
ENTER selection. P.CONTROL is now marked by a cross.
EXIT selection. Confirmation and simultaneous return to the main menu (MAIN). P.CONTROL
is now activated and included in the main menu.
You have enabled the process controller.
MENU Press for 3 s. Change from process level to setting level.
P.CONTROL selection. Selection in the main menu (MAIN).
ENTER selection. The sub-menu items for the basic setting are displayed.
SETUP selection.
ENTER selection. The menu for setting up the process controller is displayed.
The setup procedure is described in the operating instructions in chapter "SETUP – Set-
ting up the process controller".
EXIT selection. Return to P.CONTROL.
