USER: Before using this product, read this manual carefully and save for future reference.
Please read this manual carefully, DO NOT use this product or any available optional
equipment without first completely reading and understanding these instructions and any
additional instructional material supplied with this product or optional equipment, other-
wise, injury or damage may occur.
If you are unable to understand the warnings, cautions or instructions, contact dealer be-
fore attempting to use this equipment.
• Consult with your physician before using the equipment. Use this concentrator as pre-
scribed by your physician. Do not change the settings of flow and duration before con-
sulting your physician to avoid insufficient oxygen supply or carbon dioxide retention.
• This equipment is not to be used as life supporting or life sustaining device. The device
can only be use for supplemental oxygen. It's necessary to have a backup oxygen supply
(such as oxygen cylinder or liquid oxygen) in the event of a mechanical failure or power
outage.
• Close supervision is necessary when this product is used on children or physically chal-
lenged individuals. Additional monitoring or attention may be required for patients using
this device who are unable to hear or see alarms or communicate discomfort.
• Contact your dealer or physician immediately if any untoward effect occurred.
• If the concentrator is not working properly or if water spills into the machine, switch off
the device and call your dealer for examination/ repair. Do not dismantle the device.
• Patients with severe carbon monoxide poisoning are prohibited to use the equipment.
WARNING: A warning represents the possibility of harm to the operator or patient.
WARNING: For proper operation, your concentrator requires unobstructed ventilation.
The ventilation ports are located at the rear base of the device and at the side air inlet
filter. Keep the device at least 30 cm away from walls, furniture, and especially curtains
that could impede adequate airflow to the device. Do not place the concentrator in a small
closed space (such as a closet).
WARNING: Do not remove the covers of this device. Servicing must be referred to an au-
thorized and trained SYSMED home care provider.
WARNING: In the event of an equipment alarm or if you are experiencing any signs of
discomfort consult your home care provider and/or your health care professional immedi-
ately.
WARNING: Oxygen generated by this concentrator is supplemental and should not be
considered life supporting or life sustaining. In certain circumstances oxygen therapy can
be hazardous; any user should seek medical advice prior to using this device.
WARNING: Where the prescribing healthcare professional has determined that an inter-
ruption in the supply of oxygen, for any reason, may have serious consequences to the
user, an alternate source of oxygen should be available for immediate use.
WARNING: Oxygen vigorously accelerates combustion and should be kept away from
heat or open flame. This device is not suitable for use in the presence of a flammable an-
esthetic mixture with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide.
WARNING: Do not smoke, allow others to smoke or have open flames near the concentra-
tor when it is in use.
WARNING: Do not use oil or grease on the concentrator or its components as these sub-
stances, when combined with oxygen, can greatly increase the potential for a fire hazard
and personal injury.
WARNING: Do not use the oxygen concentrator if either the plug or power cord is dam-
aged. Do not use extension cords or electrical adapters.
WARNING: Do not attempt to clean the concentrator while it is plugged into an electrical
