WARNING: Device operation above or outside of the voltage, flow, temperature, humidity
and/or altitude values specified may decrease oxygen concentration levels.
WARNING: Your home care provider is responsible for performing appropriate preventive
maintenance at the intervals recommended by the device manufacturer.
WARNING: The specified operating environment temperature range of this device is 10-
37°C. Below 10°C, the compressor may be difficult to start, and above 37°C, the compres-
sor may overheat, thus reducing device life. It takes a minimum 2 hours for the device to
warm from the minimum storage temperature until it is ready for intended use, and 2 hours
minimum for the device to cool from the maximum storage temperature until it is ready for
EN
intended use.
WARNING: Long oxygen tubing should be kept away from infants and small children to
avoid entanglement which can cause suffocation due to strangling.
WARNING: For any liquid spilled on the device, turn off power and unplug from electrical
outlet before cleaning up spill. "I" means Power on, "O" means Power off.
WARNING: Keep the device upright during use or transportation. Keep the device away
from high pollution or high smog areas.
WARNING: Oxygen therapy is harmful under certain conditions. Sysmed recommends
that you consult a doctor before using the device. Oxygen therapy should be regularly
evaluated and the oxygen therapy settings set according to doctor's recommendations.
Do not adjust oxygen flow at will to avoid oxygen deficiency, oxygen poisoning or carbon
dioxide retention.
WARNING: The oxygen concentrator should be kept away from heat or spark sources
(including static electricity) and open flames.
WARNING: Smoking is strictly prohibited during oxygen inhalation. Do not smoke in the
same room as the oxygen concentrator or any oxygen-carrying accessories. If you want
to smoke, you must turn off the oxygen concentrator and remove the cannula or tubing .
Leave the room where the oxygen tube or mask or oxygen concentrator is located. If you
cannot leave the room, you must turn off the oxygen concentrator for 10 minutes before
smoking.
WARNING: Keep power cord away from heat or spark sources (including static electricity)
and open flames. When not in use turn off the power to the device.
WARNING: DO NOT put oxygen tubing under a bedspread or chair cushion.
WARNING: Before cleaning the oxygen housing or replacing the fuse, the power plug
must be unplugged to avoid electric shock.
WARNING: Geriatrics, children, or other patients who cannot communicate fluently may
require additional monitoring to avoid harm. Excessive kinks in the nasal cannula may af-
fect the oxygen output.
WARNING: Reserve an oxygen bottle at home for use when the oxygen concentrator does
not work during a power outage.
WARNING: Oxygen tubing should be equipped with a fire safe valve which can interrupt
the flow of oxygen in the event of a fire.
WARNING: Each SYSMED oxygen concentrator should be used with crush-proof, certi-
fied oxygen cannula and tubing fitted with a fire safe valve (supplied by the home oxygen
provider). Tube length should not exceed 4 meters, and the fire safe valve should not be
taken off during usage.
