Safety notes

Note: Please ensure you read the following notes
before installing the light. This luminaire is only in-
tended for normal use, must NOT be used for
rough service, for example on construction sites.
Make sure the power is switched off, before you
install the light. The installation of the light should
only be carried out by a qualified expert.
This light may not be operated
unless all sealing rings are located properly!
LED-lights are extremely bright. Under no
circumstances look into the light beam of the
LED lights.
Broken discs must be replaced
with an original Brennenstuhl
protection disc prior to continuing
to use the lamp.
Make sure that the lamp is switched off and
cool before you touch it.
Fitting the light
Note: The light has to be fitted to a dry, sturdy
and stable surface according to the notes in Fig. A.
The lamp may not be installed at a tilt or upside
down.

Only for model L DN 2405 PIR IP 44:
On the bottom of the light are three controls
(see Fig. C).
Sensitivity (SENS):
Sensitivity means the maximum area where the
movement sensor is triggered by movements. Turning
the SENS-control clockwise increases the sensitivity.
Mark the positions of the holes in the bracket and
drill the respective holes into the wall. Affix the
bracket to the wall using suitable screws.
Open the connection box of the light. Lead the
power cable though the cable bracket and
connect it to the screw terminal of the light
according to Fig. B. (N = blue cable, earth
symbol = green /yellow cable, L = brown cable).

The light must be earthed! Please make sure
that the cable is suitably fastened by the cable
bracket.
Screw the top back on the connection box.
Take care that the seal is positioned properly.
Affix the light to the bracket using the supplied
screws and nuts. Align the light in the desired
direction and tighten the screws.
If possible ensure the motion sensor is not
pointing to objects that are subject to large
temperature differences, swimming pools, hot
air exits or air conditioning units.
Avoid pointing the motion sensor onto trees or
bushes, or towards places where pets often stay.
Please keep in mind when fitting the light that
the motion sensor reacts most sensitively to
movements through the detection area perpen-
dicular to it and the least sensitively to move-
ments directly towards it.
