Check whether the couplers can not be pulled apart with a normal manual effort and turn the
retainer ring clockwise so that the lock ring is secured.
•
Connect the dust caps together.

Disconnecting the hydraulic hose(s)
WARNING
Always make sure that the pressure relief valve is in the "neutral" position, before you
disconnect hydraulic hose(s) from the pump.
5.3.1
Quick-Lock couplers
Refer to Fig. 5.
•
Disconnect the dust caps from each other.
•
Turn the retainer ring on the female coupler anti-clockwise to unsecure the lock ring.

•
Replace the dust caps on the female and male couplers.

Deadman's handle
The deadman's handle is used to determine the movement of the blades. In the neutral position no
pressure is built up and the oil flows without pressure back to the pump. If the deadman's handle is
released, it returns automatically to the neutral position and stops the movement of the blades.
•
Hold the deadman's handle in the
Return oil from the tool flows without pressure back to the pump.

Return oil from the tool flows without pressure back to the pump.
The tool has a return line safety valve. If the return line to the pump is blocked, this return line safety
valve will prevent excessive pressure in the tool by allowing oil to leak out.
WARNING
Never change the setting of this return line safety valve.
5.5
Relief the pressure in unconnected hoses or tools
5.5.1
General
Temperature differences can cause overpressure in unconnected hoses and tools. This overpressure
can make it impossible to connect the parts. You can use the pressure relief tool to remove this
overpressure. This accessory is available for all Holmatro hose systems and is supplied by default with
every pump.
NOTICE
We recommend you keep more than one of these tools on hand.
