Thisisakerosene,direct-fired,forcedairheater.It'sintendeduse
isprimarilytemporaryheatingofbuildingsunderconstruction,
alterationorrepair.
Direct-Firedmeansthatallofthecombustionproductsenterthe
heatedspace.Eventhoughthisheateroperatesverycloseto100
percentcombustionefficiency,itstillproducessmallamounts
ofcarbonmonoxide.Carbonmonoxide(calledCO)istoxic.CO
canbuildupinaheatedspaceandfailuretoprovideadequate
ventilationcouldresultindeath.Thesymptomsofinadequate
ventilationare:

ForcedAirmeansthatablowerorfanpushestheairthroughthe
heater.Propercombustiondependsuponthisairflow;therefore,
theheatermustnotberevised,modifiedoroperatedwith
partsremovedormissing.Likewise,safetysystemsmustnotbe
circumventedormodifiedinordertooperatetheheater.
