ment (11) on the rear side of the transmit-
ter (see fig. 3).
2) Insert two 1.5 V batteries of size AA (R6)
into the battery compartment, with the po-
sitive and negative connections as indi-
cated in the compartment.
3) Unlock the control part, slide it back to its
previous position until it locks into place.
5 Setting the Transmitter into
Operation
1) Connect a headband microphone (e. g.
HSE-110 or HSE-210/SW by "img Stage
Line") to the mini XLR jack (4).
2) To switch on the transmitter, set the
power switch (2) to "ON". The display (3)
shortly indicates
mission frequency currently adjusted is
displayed together with a battery symbol
indicating the current charging status of
the batteries in several steps:
f
ully charged
3) Press down the latching buttons (8) on
the sides of the transmitter and slide the
control part upward in its casing until it
locks into place (see fig. 1).
4) To adjust the transmission frequency:
a) Keep the key SET (7) pressed for 3 s.
The display shortly indicates
and then returns to the previous indi-
cation. In the frequency adjusting
mode, the indication MHZ keeps flash-
ing on the display.
Note: To exit the frequency adjust-
ing mode without making a fre-
quency adjustment, press the key
SET. The display shortly indicates
mal operation.
b) Adjust the frequency with the cursor
keys: Each time the key
pressed, the frequency is increased
by 125 kHz, each time the key
pressed, the frequency is reduced by
125 kHz.

Note: To prevent mutual interfer-
ence when using several wireless
systems at the same time, the radio
frequencies of the individual sys-
tems should be at a maximum dis-
tance to each other (minimum fre-
quency spacing 250 kHz).
c) Press the key SET to memorize this
adjustment. The display shortly indi-
cates
normal operation.
5) Switch on the receiver and set it to the
same radio frequency (see instruction
manual of the receiver).
Switch on the audio unit (mixer or am-
plifier) connected to the receiver.
6) Speak/sing into the microphone. Read-
justment of the volume level is possible
via the trimming control (10) on the rear
side of the control part (see fig. 2). For
this purpose, use the supplied adjusting
key.
Adjust the transmitter to an optimum
volume. If the volume is too high, the
transmitter will distort; in this case, turn
back the control (if required, turn it to the
left stop). If the volume is too low, a poor
signal-noise ratio will result, in this case,
advance the control correspondingly.
7) If required, the unit can be set to the lock
mode. In the lock mode, it is impossible to
switch off the unit accidentally or to mod-
ify the transmission frequency. To ac-
tivate the lock mode, keep the key
pressed for 3 s. The display shortly indi-
cates
vious indication.
If the power switch (2) is set to "OFF"
or the key SET (7) is pressed in the lock
mode during operation, the unit will sig-
nalize the lock mode by indicating
on the display. To deactivate the lock
mode, keep the key
