USE OF THE BURNER
The burner operates fully automatically; it is activated by closing the main switch and the control board switch.
Burner operations are controlled by commend and monitoring devices, as described in the chapter "Description of
Operations". The "shut down" position is a safety position automatically taken up by the burner when a burner part
or the electrical equipment is ineffi cient; Therefore it is good practice, before unblocking the burner and starting
it up again, to check that there are no defects in the heating plant.
The length of time that the burner rests in the "sht down" position, is without limit.
"Shut down" can be caused by transitory fl aws (a little water in the fuel, air in the pipes, etc.); in these cases, if
unblocked, the burner will start up normally. When, howevwr, the shutdowns occur repeatedly (3 or 4 times), do
not persist in trying to unblock the burner, fi rst check that there is fuel in the tank and then call the local service to
repair the defect. To unblock the control box, press the appropriate pushbutton.
MAINTENANCE
The burner does not require special maintenance, but it is good practice to perform the following operations at
the end of the hrating season:
1) Remove and wash thoroughly with solvents (petrol, trichloroethylene, oil) the fi lters, the nozzle, the turbulator disk
and the ignition electrodes. When cleaning the nozzle, avoid using metal instruments (use wood or plastic).
2) Clean the photoresistant cell.
3) Have the boiler cleaned and also the chimney, if necessary.
Note: The nozzle or nozzles should be replaced at least once every two heating seasons.
It may be necessary to do this more often.
