A) Open the film door

with the catch [2]. You can use any regular 35 mm film – we
recommend 400 or 800 ISO for all daylight situations.
B) Lay the film cartridge in the film chamber to the left [3].
C) Pull out the film leader and place the end to the right of the take-up spool [5].
Ensure that the film's perforations are properly matched with the sprocket wheel [4].
d) Turn the film advance

until the film is wrapped around the take-up spool [5].
e) Close the film door [1], finish winding on and you're ready to sample some action!
F) Note: Always shoot outdoors under bright daylight conditions.
ACtioN sAMpLiNg
A) If you want to look through the viewfinder

you have to flip it up. Then, you
can set your sights on your chosen subject. Or you could live by Lomography Golden
Rule #4 'Try the shot from the hip' and surprise yourself!
B) You can photograph the action from any distance. If you get right up close (as near as
30 cm/12"), your shots may be a tad blurry. That really doesn't matter though – action
is often a bit fuzzy!
C) As soon as you have found the ultimate action, press the shutter release button [9].
You can wind the film on with the film advance [6]. That's it!
d) You should always bear the following two rules in mind if you want maximum action
on your samples: either your subject should be moving fast (e.g. a car passing at speed,
