Dear music lover
Please
read these
instructions carefully
before
you

that you
will
not
encounter
any problems resulting
from faulty

Setting up the loudspeakers
Fig.2
For optimum
stereo
reproduction,
the
pair of
speaker systems
should
be
positioned
so
that
the
space
between
them
is
approximately 2/3
of
the
distance
from their
midpoint
to
the
listener.
Their height should
also be
approxi-
mately
that of
the
listener's
head.
The
enclosures
are
finished
on all
four
sides,
allowing them
to be
placed
either
vertically
or
horizontally.
The
cable
con-
nections
are
recessed,
allowing
the
enclosu-
res
to
be
hung
f
lush
to
the wall.
Dual
em-
blem
can be
turned
around. Felt
tips
are
en-
closed
for
placement
on
f
urniture.
When
room
configurations
do not
permit
conventional speaker placement
for
stereo,
they
can
either
be
tilted
down
or
toward
the
center
so
that the
stereo
effectiveness
is
kept
sufficiently broad
in the
general
listening area,
The
balance
control
can
also
be adjusted when compensation is
required,
Connection
to
power supply
The
Dual
operates
on
110/150
or
22OYAC,
50
or 60
Hz,
and
is
usually set
for
22O
volts
50
Hz.
It
requires readjustment
for
operation
on
a
different
voltage
or
frequency.
The
voltage
adjustment
(c)
is
located
on
the
connection
panel
on the
back
of
the
case,
and
requires
only
a screw-driver.
ln
regard
to
voltages
of
130
and
24O V,
this
should be done
only by a
competent
serviceman.
ln
addition
to
this,
the
jum-
pers should
be
resoldered
at the
power
transformer as described
on the wiring
dia-
gram.
The
voltage selector can be set
at
130,
1
50
or
240 volts.
The adjustment
is
simultaneous
for
amplif
ier
and
record
player.
lt
does
not
necessitate
changing
the
fuse.
Defective fuses
can
be
changed
after
loosening
the
screw
and
remo-
ving
the sliding
cover.
b
=
line fuse
for
110, 130, 150 V
d
=
line
fuse
for
22O,24OV
Caution!
Be
sure
to
disconnect
the
line
plug
before touching the
voltage adjustment
or
removing
the sliding
cover!
Connection
to
tape recorder
or

amplifier
The
output
receptacle
"Q",
mounted on
the
connecting
plate,
gives
the possibility
using
the
turntable
without
the
built-in
amplifier
of
the
unit.

ln
this

the
output

"Q"
must
be
connected
with
the
phono-input
of
the
separate amplif

For the

there
must be
a

The
output
receptacle
can also
be
used
as
an input
for
usual program sources (tape

the
full
modulation
of
the

an input
