7. Replacing the power cord
Danger!
If the power cord for this equipment is damaged,
it must be replaced by a special power cord which
is available from the manufacturer or a service
center.
8. Cleaning and maintenance
HAZARD!
Always remove the power plug from the power
source before starting any cleaning work.
8.1 Cleaning
•
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the
motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as
possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean
cloth or blow it down with compressed air at
low pressure.
•
We recommend cleaning the equipment
immediately each time after use.
•
Clean the equipment regularly with a damp
cloth and some soft soap. Do not use
cleaning agents or solvents; these may
be aggressive to the plastic parts in the
equipment. Ensure that no water can get into
the interior of the equipment. The ingress of
water into an electric power tool increases the
risk of an electric shock.
8.2 Servicing
•
The blades should be cleaned and lubricated
at regular intervals in order to ensure best
performance at all times. Remove deposits
with a brush and apply a thin film of machine
oil (see Figure 7).
•
There are no other parts inside the equipment
which require maintenance.
